State of the WIP 5.23.24

I know social media is more about the performance of being a writer than actually writing, but still I can't help but feel a tinge of envy when I see fellow writers post things like "I just finished my first draft! Now onto edits! The book will be out Friday!" And then there are people who post things like "Just hit 100k words on my new book, finished plotting the next, two on query, one in post-production at Netflix" and so on. How are these people writing books so quickly?! It's truly maddening.
